Abstract Submission Guidelines

Call for Scientific Papers & Posters on the following themes:-

  • Path breaking work in waste Management
  • Innovative Ideas for reduction of waste
  • Any other study pertaining to Bio-Medical Waste Management Practices & Hospital Infection Control Practices

Paper Presentation

Registered delegates and students may submit scientific paper on the themes. The length of the paper should not be more than 3000 words. Paper for presentation at the conference will be reviewed and selected by Scientific Committee. Abstract in about 300‑400 words required to be submitted on or before October 31, 2024. The abstract of selected papers will be published in the Conference Souvenir. Paper in WORD format should be submitted to ishwmcon2024@gmail.com in soft copy on or before November 15, 2024

Note: Eight papers will be selected for oral presentation in the conference on 15th November 2024. Rest of the papers will be presented as posters.

Formatting Guidelines for Scientific Oral Presentation Abstracts

(Heading must be in bold, Text aligned left, 11-point Arial, single spacing)

1. Abstract title: Use a descriptive title of up to twenty words that indicates the content of the abstracts.

2. Aim/Introduction & Objective: Was the research question based on Problem Statement/objective stated clearly? The introduction should provide context to your reader, an introduction to your topic and its importance, and your study objective, question, or hypothesis, whichever is appropriate.

3. Methods and Methodology: (heading must be in bold) : Was the approach/method for answering the question stated clearly and is it appropriate to the study? The materials and methods section should include brief, clear statements of the relevant methods used to conduct the study.

4. Results: A summary of the most important results must be included. Key findings should be clear, concise, and explicit. Results should consist of supporting data. A lack of results with supporting data will lower your abstract score for this section. Include appropriate statistics to support claims of significance.

5. Conclusion/Significance/Implication: Must have the conclusion communicate the take-home message from the study and did it relate to the study objective(s).


Poster Presentation

Registered students and delegates are invited to participate in the poster presentation. Poster size꞉ 2‑3 ft X 3‑4 ft. (Soft copies of posters for the competition shall be submitted in the prescribed format on or before November 15, 2024) Best paper and poster selected by the committee will be awarded during the conference
